WITH CANCELLED MARKS, RE-MARKED BY THE LONDON ASSAY OFFICE, STERLING STANDARD, 2008, THE DOMED COVER STILL BEARING A LION'S HEAD ERASED
Pear-shaped on collet foot, one side engraved with contemporary baroque coat-of-arms, the other with later crest and motto scroll, wood scroll handle
5¾ in. (14.7 cm.) high
15.75 oz. (488 gr.)
The crest is that of Temple, baronets of Stowe, Buckinghamshire. The arms are those of Grenville impaling Temple.
