Prints of the first unsigned edition of 1899 are extremely rare.
The illustration by Verbeek shows discrepancies with the plate in the Rijksprentenkabinet, Amsterdam. At least two significant differences exist: two vertical lines next to the bollard are found in the plate, not in the illustration. The severe black line at the foot of the tree is not found in the plate.
