A BRONZE LUOHAI AND THREE-LEGGED TOAD CENSER, 16TH/17TH CENTURY
the large toad stands open mouthed, its body covered in raised node warts and bears on its back a dancing figure of Luohai carrying a scroll and peach, a double gourd hanging from his back, the figure forming the cover for the hollow bodied toad -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, fitted wood stand.
