AN INLAID IRON HELMET, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
of high domed form, with attached peak to the forehead and fitted with a raised plume holder, decorated in silver and silver-gilt with twin confronting dragons flanking a large flaming pearl, above scrolling waves and amongst silver bolts of lightening -- 9¾in. (24.8cm.) wide.
