A TIBETAN GILT BRONZE AKSHOBHYA, 16TH/17TH CENTURY
seated in dhyansana on a double lotus base, the hands held in bhurmisparsa, the earth touching gesture, a vajra on the base before him, wearing a simple robe over the left shoulder and with typical extended earlobes and tightly curled hair, the urna inset with a turquoise roundel -- 3½in. (8.7cm.) high, fitted box.
