A SILK KESI 'DEER' PANEL, 18TH CENTURY
of rectangular form, woven in coloured silk with a deer standing amongst oversized peony blossoms and pierced rockwork, all reserved upon a gold thread ground, a smaller panel above depicts a caparisoned elephant between two cranes -- 32in. x 40in. (81.5cm x 101.5cm), mounted.
