AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY ARMCHAIR
POSSIBLY BY JOHN FERGUSON, CIRCA 1842
The arched-shaped back, padded arms and seat covered in foliate needlework, the terminals carved with eagles' heads, on shell-headed short cabriole legs with pad feet, inscribed in pencil 'John Ferguson 1842', 'Peter Dickson 1920' and 'ST1165', previously with castors, the needlework by the Royal School of Needlework
37¼ in. (94.5 cm.) high; 31¾ in. (80.5 cm.) wide; 26¾ in. (68 cm.) deep
