Château Talbot--Vintage 2000
Saint-Julien, 4ème cru classé
In original wooden case

"A classic of the Medoc, the roots of Château Talbot go back to the 15th century Earl of Shrewsbury. Classified as a fourth growth in 1855, there are few today who would refute that it would come out much higher were the classification redone. The property is located in St.-Julien, a bit inland, just north of Château Gruaud-Larose. The vineyard is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, and the wines correspondingly by aromas of blackcurrant, mint and lead pencil." CC, tasted Oct 2008
