The ram Siddhartha is riding on is particularly well-observed and executed. For another example, see H. Ingolt, Gandharan Art in Pakistan, 1957, cat. no. 23; compare also with a scene showing Buddha on a cart drawn by two rams, in I. Kurita, Gandharan Art, 1990, vol. 1, figs. P1-11, p. 14.
