A green schist figure of Shiva and Parvati
Kashmir, 7th century
Finely carved with Shiva and Parvati standing together atop a stepped plinth, both clad in diaphanous pleated dhotis and jewelry, she with a shawl, her braided hair adorned with a foliate crown, he holding a trident, mala and sword and accompanied by Nandi, his hair arranged in a high chignon, each backed by a nimbus with beaded rims
