Mrs Bertrands grandfather, Baron Rodolfe d'Erlanger (1872-1932), a member of the distinguished French banking family and both patron and artist himself, built the palace of Dar Ennejma Ezzahrain in the village. The palace is now a museum open to the public and houses the Baron's collection of Arabic musical instruments.
