A Porcelain Figure of a Standing Courtesan
Arita Ware, Imari type, Edo period (Late 17th century)
Decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red, gold and black enamels, the figure with one hand to her side and the other at the collar of her robe, her left foot slightly forward, her kimono decorated with chrysanthemums, plum and pine, inner folds of the robe painted in deep red, hairline cracks on lower robe, wear to gold enamel
