Painted with a continuous and richly detailed landscape around the globular body below the tall, cylindrical neck rising to the rolled lip, the landscape rendered in modulated lines and washes of underglaze cobalt of varying intensity with scenes of village houses nestled beneath a large pine, undulating hills, a wide bay with returning fishing boats, homing geese, a flying crane and a heron wading in the shallows, cliffs and pavilions flying a flag in the distance, and a large pavilion on stilts perched on a rocky outcropping in the next frame; the vessel also decorated with a glossy, blue-tinged clear glaze; incised potter's mark on base
