A Gilt-Bronze Figure of the Buddha
Unified Silla period (7th century)
Standing on a raised lotus plinth fitted with a mandorla of pointed flames, the right hand held upright in the gesture of protection (abhaya mudra) and the left hand lowered in the gesture of fulfilling the vow (varada mudra), the monastic robe cast in symmetrical curved folds from the base of the neck to the ankles
