LATE EASTERN ZHOU/WARRING STATES PERIOD, CIRCA 4TH CENTURY BC
The long tapering blade with median ridge and beveled edges, the oval handle encircled by two flanges and the dished circular pommel inlaid in gold wire and turquoise with C-scrolls surrounding a quatrefoil motif centered by a small gold sheet disc, with mottled grey and green patina and malachite green encrustation
