When included in the Philadelphia exhibition, the bead was attributed to Jincun, Henan province and the ring to Shou xian, Anhui province.

A similar white jade ring dated to the Western Han dynasty excavated from the burial site at Sanjiaowei, Tianchang, Anhui, is illustrated in The Complete Collection of Unearthed Jades in China - 6 - Anhui, Beijing, 2005, p. 134.
