The glass circa 1600-1650, the engraving circa 1650-1700
(Drinkhoorn) The cornucopia-shaped body modelled as a smooth curved tube, widening towards one end, with a gilt thread to the end, the narrow end terminating in a gilt merese and a knop, further with three double bands of pincered threads, two upholding a tiny loop for hanging, engraved with a hunting scene after Tempesta, depicting: a hunter on horseback holding a spear towards a boar, further with two helpers and three hounds upon a grassy vignette, the upper part with five various animals: a deer; a lion; a camel; a dog and a cat, the lower part with a huge broadwinged swan

Willem Mooleyser (1640-1700) was a diamond-point engraver in Rotterdam. Almost nothing is known about him. His work is characterised by large shaded areas and superb craftmanship
