A large Westerwald stoneware blue and grey pewter-mounted dated royal armorial jug
Circa 1724
The globular steinzeug body impressed with a large sunburst medallion containing the crowned coat-of-arms of George I of Hanover, King of England and inscribed with 1724 and GR, further surrounded by scrolling foliage, the neck with rings and with loop handle, the terraced pewter cover connected with a thumbpiece to the handle
