Of cylindrical form, chased with scrolls, flowers and rocaille, and decorated at either end with concentric circles, the pull-off cover revealing a pencil, folding knife, scissors, tweezers/file, an ivory aide-memoire and an ear-pick; at each end a panel slides out, transforming the etui into a telescope
