LATE MING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
In the form of a large flower carved around the sides with openwork leafy stems that form the handle at one end and bear various flowers and buds including a peony blossom beside a chilong that is peering over the rim, the semi-translucent stone of whitish color with brown veining
6½ in (16.5 cm.) long
Provenance
Acquired circa 1960s-1974, and thence by descent within the family.
