The very thin, translucent sides flaring slightly towards the lipped rim and carved in relief with scrolling flower sprays, raised on a narrow ring foot, the interior inscribed in clerical script with a lengthy poem by the emperor Qianlong extolling the qualities of the stone and the skill of the carver, the highly polished stone of even white color
