A RARE IMPERIAL ZITAN AND REVERSE-PAINTED GLASS HEXAGONAL LANTERN
18TH CENTURY
The finely carved zitan lantern with flared openwork crown carved with descending bats above a pierced waist and openwork scroll shoulder, the center section with upper and lower openwork borders joined by slender knopped columns at the corners that frame the recessed glass panels inside-painted with flowers, the waisted foot carved en suite and raised on six ruyi-head feet
