A PAIR OF BLANC-DE-CHINE BUDDHISTIC LION TAPERSTICK HOLDERS AND A BASIN
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Each modeled as a buddhistic lion and cub seated atop an openwork pedestal applied with prunus on the sides and on top with a conical taperstick holder rising from one corner, with an ivory glaze; the basin of shallow circular form with everted rim and incised with double lines, covered inside and out with a glaze of ivory tone
Pair 7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) high; basin 9½ in. (24.2 cm.) diam.; wood stands, boxes (3)
