A small Tournai porcelain The Hague-decorated polychrome ornithological oval tureen and cover
1776, marked with an underglaze blue stork (cigogne)
The bulging body decorated with fowl upon a grassy vignette, the border with oblique panels in slight relief, further with floral garlands alternating with Bleu-du-Roy-ground rocaille panels, the handles modelled as sheafs of corn (gerbe de blé), the domed cover en suite with interlaced handle en suite (tiny inner rim chip)
