Mark of Arnoldus van Geffen, Amsterdam, 1755; mark of Frederik van Strant, Amsterdam, 1739, also struck with later duty mark of 1807; indistinct maker's mark, Amsterdam, 1740; The Netherlands, 18th Century, apparently not marked; possibly Frisian, 17th Century
Comprising a rare shaving basin on circular footring; a spittoon, with scroll handle and flaring mouth; a candle-snuffer; a trivet with fish; and a toy of two men holding a hammer, 'zagemannen', marked to bases, rim and side
