First half 18th Century, Philippe Mombaers manufactory (Terrine chou et son couvercle) Modelled in the trompe l'oeil-style, the light-green-ground (vert de cuivre) decorated with various insects, butterflies and caterpillars (à la chenille), upon four pierced ring feet, the domed cover en suite, applied with a cabbage finial, the circular stand en suite with a gadrooned border
The tureen 24cm. high, the stand 34cm. diam. (2)
