On gnomons and quadrants, Arabic manuscript on paper, 64ff. plus 3 fly-leaves, each folio with 21ll. of black flowing naskh, titles in red, numerous diagrams and tables, catchwords, the colophon signed, dated and indicating that it was written in the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, few marginal notes, last 4ff. with tables signed and dated by the scribe, in probably original red stamped morocco with flap

The author, who was an imam of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun in Cairo, composed the original work in 1625. This manuscript is therefore a very early copy and just possibly written within the lifetime of the author,
