Arabic manuscript on paper, 654ff. plus 3 fly-leaves, each folio with 13ll. of alternate gold, black and blue bihari script, with gold and blue rosette verse markers, the word Allah in gold throughout, sura headings in gold naskh within bands on red cross-hatched ground in floral illuminated panels, the text within triple gold and polychrome frame, with blue and red naskh marginal markers, rub' within illuminated rounded medallions, 'ashr and sajda within cusped drop-shaped illuminated medallions, with comments diagonally written in the margins, each juz' opening folio with illuminated borders and red cross-hatched ground, lacking the second folio with sura al-fatiha and the folio with sura al-nas, with illuminated shamsa, the opening of sura al-baqara within triple blue and gold frame with gold scrolls, the last 6ff. with prayers, waterstaining, repaired margins, in stamped brown morocco, generally clean copy
