Gouache heightened with gold on paper, each miniature executed in fine detail and bright colours depicting either bloody battle scenes, seated rulers in lavish settings, scribes at work, or figures in a landscape, some with lines of nasta'liq in columns or written on the diagonal around, all laid down between gold and polychrome rules on gold and polychrome floral illuminated borders, mounted, glazed and framed
