A Dutch walnut cabinet
Early 18th Century
The rectangular moulded cornice above a pair of doors, each centred by a gros and petit point needlework panel depicting a lady with a child on the left side and a gentleman with a child on the right side, within extensive polychrome foliate scrolls, enclosing a plain interior with three shelves and three base drawers, the sides with conforming gros point foliate needlework panels, the base section with four short drawers above a long drawer, on later shaped bracket feet, bearing hand-written Dutch inscriptions, the cornice, top and base associated and possibly of slightly different dates
