The waved moulded top centred by C-scrolls and rockwork, above a pair of geometrically glazed doors enclosing a velvet-lined interior with three shaped shelves, the bombé base section with a central frieze drawer enclosing a writing surface and three pigeon-holes above three drawers flanked to either side, above a further frieze drawer, above three graduated drawers, on claw-and-ball feet, restorations

Lot Essay

It does not seem logical for a display cabinet to be fitted with a secretaire drawer. The kingwood veneers are however entirely consistant and do not indicate that this piece has been altered.
