Depicted with his head turned slightly to his right, with large heavy-lidded eyes beneath high-arching brows, the pupils incised, the irises crescentic, the mouth with fleshy lips, his hair closely cropped and detailed by short incisions, wearing a tunic beneath a cloak pinned at his right shoulder, a small pedestal inscribed with his name, reading: "Claudius Leontius," the socle with concave sides and profiled moldings
