Two porcelain salt-cellars
by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, period of Catherine II, circa 1780
Each of oval form, the body painted on both sides with multi-coloured flowers, the moulded handles simulating twisted branches, each decorated at the fastening to the body with relief forget-me-nots with leaves, gilt rim, marked under base with dark blue underglaze 'E II' and dot and incised 'I'
Each 3 3/8 in. (8.7 cm.) long, 1 1/8 in. (3 cm.) high (2)
