TWO PORCELAIN FIGURES OF WOMEN IN TRADITIONAL COSTUMES AND A FIGURE OF A WANDERER
by the Popov Porcelain Factory, Moscow, 19th century
Realistically modelled, the first depicting a Finnish woman in traditional costume, several strands of beads, on a shaped base, marked under base with incised and blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'AP'; together with a scent-bottle formed as a female figure, her tall hat serving as the detachable cover, on a raised shaped rectangular base with gilt rim, marked under base with incised 'H', traces of blue mark; the third smaller figure of a wanderer in pink coat and blue hat, supporting himself on his wooden stick, on a shaped naturalistic base decorated with applied flowers, marked under base with blue underglaze Cyrillic monogram 'AP' and painted with brown overglaze '58'
