by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg, Period of Alexander II, circa 1870
Rectangular, painted with a winter scene depicting soldiers and Tsarevich Alexander Nikolaievich (the future Alexander II) in a wooded landscape, within a brass frame; marked on the reverse with green overglaze crowned monogram 'A II'
5¾ x 11 in. (14.7 x 28 cm.)
