A jewelled and enamelled gold cigarette case
Unrecorded maker's mark JT, St Petersburg, circa 1890
Rectangular, with rounded corners, one end fitted with a hinged vesta compartment and match strike, the cover applied with the enamelled crowned coat of arms of Prince Gagarin, the reverse applied with the crowned diamond-set monogram 'OG', in a silk and velvet lined case stamped in Russian 'Yakovlev & Co.,/former/Mikhailov/St. Peterburg Bolshaya Morskaya 16', marked on flange
3½ in. (9 cm.) long
The coat of arms on the cover is that of Prince Gagarin.
