marked P. Ovchinnikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1896
Rectangular, traditionally painted, the mantles of the Mother of God and Christ Child applied with seed-pearls and three rose-cut diamond-set stars centering two sapphires and a ruby, the cut-out halos enamelled with stylized floral and foliate patterns within turquoise pellet borders, the corners similarly decorated, the oklad engraved with foliate scrolls, the border applied with raised trellis and rosette pattern, with a figure of St Ksenia depicted on the right border, marked on the lower edge, burgundy velvet backing
