The cylindrical cup painted with an oval grisaille within a ciselé wreathed border inscribed in Russian Count Platov, on white ground and flanked by gilt trophies of arms, with gilt rims, scroll handle and interior sides, the saucer on a circular raised foot and with a central containing ridge above, three further tropies of war, victory and music painted in ochre in the border with gilt details and banding, the cup with incised mark and '17', the saucer with gilt monogram 'AP' and '61'
