Pierre-Emile Jeannest (1813-1857) is recorded as a modeler and designer at Minton from 1848-1854. Prior to joining to the factory he is thought to have worked at the studio of Count d'Orsay.

For an example of this form located at the Victoria & Albert Museum, dated 1856 and painted by Thomas Kirkby, see P. Atterbury and M. Batkin, The Dictionary of Minton, Suffolk, 1990, p. 59.
