A MUGHAL COMPOSITE DAGGER, 17TH AND 19TH CENTURY
The blade of very finely watered steel slightly curving towards the tip, with central spin to blade running three-quarters of the length and meeting a lobed trefoil cartouche towards hilt, the hilt of pale geen jade carved either side and to end with flower heads and leafs, with gold floral design set with red stones to upper spine, a chain loop extending from one end of the hilt to the other, the sheath of red velvet with gold floral engraved mounts and gilt thread detail - 13 1/2in (34.2cm) long
