AN EGYPTIAN GRANO-DIORITE KNIFE HANDLE IN THE FORM OF A GRASSHOPPER
PROBABLY LATE PERIOD, CIRCA 6TH-4TH CENTURY B.C.
With bulbous eyes and legs folded, knees protruding above its back, the body elongated to form the handle grip, terminating in a deeply cut groove to hold the blade (now missing)
