A LARGE GROUP OF EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN AND NEAR EASTERN HARDSTONE, GLASS AND FRIT BEADS AND AMULETS
CIRCA 3RD MILLENNIUM B.C. TO MID-1ST MILLENNIUM A.D. AND LATER
Including a turquoise 'frit' melon bead necklace and a cornelian bead necklace, both with beads graduating in size, restrung; other beads include dark quartz and garnets; eighteen glass 'basket' amulets, each with suspension loop, 5/8 in. (1.6 cm.); and a group of mainly hardstone amulets including a clenched fist (mano fico), another in bone, a foot, two stylized birds and a rock crystal barrel pendant, 1¼ in. (3.2 cm.) long max.(a lot)
