AN ORDOS BRONZE BELT PLAQUE
2ND-1ST CENTURY B.C.
With an ibex being attacked from behind by a feline, 2 in. (5 cm.) wide; an Ordos bronze appliqué with three addorsed ibex heads, 1 in. (2.5 cm.) wide; a gilt bronze plaque with a striding horse; another with a twin headed snake, 1½ in. (4 cm.) wide max., all 2nd-1st Century B.C.; a group of jewellery including a Roman bronze penannular bracelet with ribbed hoop, 3¼ in. (8.3 cm.) wide max.; a Roman bronze earring with green hardstone pendant, 1½ in. (4 cm.) long, both circa 3rd Century A.D.; and a silver bull, 1½ in. (4 cm.) long(a lot)

Items one-four and last item: formerly in the Prof. Hans and Marie-Louise Erlenmeyer collection, formed between 1943 and the early 1960s.Bronze bracelet: ink inscribed "Dorchester" on interior of hoop; with ink inscribed label reading "Arnold collection".
