Two boxes: circular box, the independent lid and base all over inlaid in gold piqué posé, the lid inset with a gilt-metal repoussé profile portrait of King Charles IV of Spain (1748-1819) and Queen Maria-Luisa (1751-1819), surmounted by the inscription 'CAROLUS IV ET ALOYSIA AUGUSYI', signed 'Martinez.' below; together with an oval snuff-box, the independent lid engraved with a perpetual calendar and scrolling foliage (probably German, 18th century)
