QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95)
The fluted slightly compressed globular body with a tall neck, all supported on a high, straight foot, the glass of a rich opaque orange and brown tone with green striations and swirls in imitation of realgar
5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) high

A very similar vase from the Collection of Walter and Phyllis Shorenstein which was published by Clarence Shangraw in, Reflections on the Qing Imperial Glasshouse (1696-1911), in The George and Mary Bloch Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles, Hong Kong, 1994, fig. 4 can also be seen exhibited in A Chorus of Colors, Chinese Glass from Three American Collectors, by Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, 1995, cat. no. 52, p. 83
