Carved as an upturned vine leaf with its stalk forming the handle, a gnarled branch carved in high relief with two squirrels scampering amongst bunches of grapes curling around the underside and forming the foot, the leaf cleverly using the translucent greyish stone, and the squirrels, grapes and branch using the orange-red and caramel inclusions
