QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95)
With deep rounded sides, painted around the exterior with four roundels at the cardinal points each enclosing a character of the greeting wan shou wu jiang, 'boundless longevity', amidst lotus scrolls and the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, the interior with a central shou roundel encircled by the eight emblems
7¼ in. (18.3 cm.) diam.

A bowl of this size and pattern and of the same period in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, was included in the exhibition, Good Fortune, Long Life, Health, and Peace: A Special Exhibition of Porcelains with Auspicious Designs, Taipei, 1995, and illustrated in the Catalogue, p. 98, no. 24.
