A SECOND SELECTION OF AUSTRALIAN WINES
After the previous multi-vintages of Grange, this section focuses on some newer classics. D'Arenberg wines are widely regarded as one of Australia's great producers and lot 323 gives buyers the change to enjoy a selection of different wines and vintages. The same can be said for the wines from Yarra Yering. Astralis from Clarendon Hills has rapdily become to be regarded as one of Austalia's greatest Shiraz while the wines from Greenock Creek are highly rated, especially the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Roennfeldt Road vineyard. The last word though is with Penfolds and the two bottles of the exceptionally rare 1996 Kalimna Block 42 Cabernet Sauvignon - the 1996 vintage was only the fifth time this wine was released (the previous occaision being 1964) and has only been made since then in 2004

(Wine sales only). Christie's charges a Buyer's premium calculated at 17.850% of the hammer price for each lot with a value up to €150,000. If the hammer price of a lot exceeds €150,000 then the premium for the lot is calculated at 17.850% of the first €150,000 plus 11.9% of any amount in excess of €150,000. Buyer's Premium is calculated on this basis for each lot individually.
