Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated June 2005, original sales tag, white gold and wooden setting pin, wooden presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, white gold indexes and calendar in English in and its subsequent sale on 15 July 2004.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before. Obviously hardly worn, it is preserved in excellent overall condition.

Reference 3940, in production from 1985 until 2006, was available in different case materials, platinum being the rarest. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 292-293.
