According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present watch is set with approx. 1.69 carats of diamonds. It was sold to Italy in 1972.
A very similar watch is prominently illustrated in Audemars Piguet by Gisbert L. Brunner, Christian Pfeiffer-Belli, Martin K. Wehrli, first edition, pl. 16a & b, pp. 90 & 91.
